About Spaze: Our Story and Mission
Who We Are
Small rooms don't need less furniture. They need furniture that pulls double duty. Seating by day, a bed by night. Spaze makes multifunctional furniture for homes that ask more of them: sofa beds, chair sleepers, and tables built to do more than one job. A piece has to fit the room, suit how you live, and be ready when guests arrive. Small spaces shouldn't mean settling for furniture that only gets one of those right — which is why we've built one of the widest sofa bed collections around beautiful design, real quality, and value.
Our Design Philosophy
We design around clean silhouettes and a color palette that reads timeless, not trendy, so a piece still feels right in the next home you move into. Styles, fabrics, and finishes vary across the range, because a studio apartment and a family guest room aren't asking for the same thing.
Form has to hold up to function, too. A Spaze sofa bed works as a full-size sofa and converts to a bed in seconds. Looking good in a photo is easy. Holding up for years is the actual job.
Built To Last
A sofa bed works harder than any other piece in your home, and we build with that in mind.
It starts with the frame. Ours are solid wood or heavy-duty metal, joined to handle two kinds of stress instead of one, so they hold their shape better than a frame built only for sitting. The mechanism is the other half of the job. Our hot-cold treated hinges are made for years of folding, so the motion stays smooth long after a lesser one would start to catch.
Every design gets prototyped and tested before it ships, because the parts that matter most are the ones you won't think about until years in.
Premium Quality Materials
Premium isn't a look. It's how a material performs over time.
You notice it first in the fabric. Ours is 100% polyester rated to 30,000+ Martindale rubs, well above the standard for home furniture, so it holds its texture and color instead of pilling or fading. Most models are OEKO-TEX certified and tested for harmful substances, with removable, dry-cleanable covers on many. The cushions get the same treatment: high-density foam or pocket spring, built to stay supportive rather than compress flat.
