Understanding Our Sofa Softness Scale (1–5)

We want you to feel confident and informed when choosing your sofa or sofa bed. We understand that one of the biggest challenges of online shopping is not being able to test the comfort in person. That is why we have introduced a Softness Scale ranging from 1 to 5, with 1 being the firmest and 5 being the softest.

This guide is designed to help you better understand how our sofas feel — so you can find the perfect fit for your comfort preference. Keep in mind that comfort is personal, and while this scale is based on our product testing and customer feedback, your experience may vary slightly.

Level 1 – Extra Firm (Currently Unavailable)

This is the firmest seating we offer. While it is not uncomfortable, it is best suited for those who prefer a very firm seat with minimal give.
Note: We currently do not carry any sofas at this level.

Level 2 – Firm

Slightly softer than Level 1, but still on the firmer side — especially with metal-framed models. The high-density foam helps prevent you from feeling the frame, offering consistent support.

Level 3 – Medium Firm
Balanced and supportive. This level offers a comfortably firm feel — not too soft, not too hard. Some of our sofa beds fall into this category due to their durable metal frames and supportive high-density foam designed for both sitting and sleeping.

Level 4 – Medium Soft
A good choice for those who prefer a softer seat while still wanting structured back support. These models typically feature solid pine wood frames, which offer more flexibility and a cushioned feel compared to metal frames.

Level 4.5 – Soft with Support

Level 4.5 bridges the gap between soft and ultra-soft. These sofas offer a noticeably softer seating experience compared to Level 4, while still giving enough structure for everyday use. Ideal for those who want to relax into the seat but still need gentle support when getting up.

Level 5 – Ultra Soft
Perfect for lounging. These sofas are designed for deep seating and ultimate softness, often with removable back cushions for added comfort. Built on solid pine wood frames, they offer flexible support with a sink-in feel.
