Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Alure sofa bed firm or soft?

The Alure has a comfortably firm seating and sleeping surface, built with high-density foam for long-term durability rather than plushness. Many customers add our Mattress Topper for a softer sleep feel as it's a common pairing for guests. Check out our Firmness Scale to compare models before you buy.

Do I need a mattress topper for the Alure?

Not required, but recommended if you want a softer sleep surface. The Alure's foam is comfortably firm by design for durability and support most customers who use it for occasional guests are comfortable without a topper, while those using it more regularly (or who prefer a plush mattress feel) add the Queen Mattress Topper. It's sized to fit the bed exactly.

What is the difference between the Bamton and Alure?

The Bamton features a sleek, armless design, making it slightly more compact at 60.2” wide. The Alure includes arms, giving it a width of 63.4”. Aside from this style difference, both offer the same frame, functionality, and comfort level.

How many people can sleep on the Alure?

The Alure converts to a full queen-size bed (59" W x 78.3" D) with a 450 lb weight capacity, comfortably sleeping two adults.

How easy is it to convert the Alure?

To convert, push the lever to unlock the collapsible legs, then lower them into place — this is the key step for a smooth, safe setup. The Alure is designed for one-person operation, so no extra help is needed.

You can watch the demonstration here: Operations Video.

Do I need help to assemble the Alure?

Most customers assemble the Alure on their own in 30 minutes, and step-by-step instructions plus an assembly video are included to guide you through it. That said, having a second person makes the process faster and easier, so if you can, we recommend assembling with a helper.

Will it fit my regular queen sheets?

Yes! The Alure accommodates a standard queen-size sheet (60" x 80"), so no special bedding is needed.

What door clearance does the Alure require?

The Alure ships in a box requiring a minimum clearance of 29.5". Once unpacked, it comes in multiple pieces and can fit through most standard doorways 26" or wider.

Before your delivery, we recommend measuring all doorways and pathways — including any tight corners or obstructions like door handles. If you have a smaller space or aren't sure which model is the right fit, reach out to us at contact@spaze.com.

Can I see the Alure in person before buying?

Spaze is 100% online, so we don't have a showroom. Instead, we recommend browsing our customer reviews and the Spaze Firmness Scale page for detailed comfort and feel information before you order. We ship from warehouses in Los Angeles and New York, so most customers receive their order quickly regardless of location.

Have more questions? Reach us by email at contact@spaze.com or by phone at 1-866-520-0755, or visit our FAQ page for more information.

Can I replace or change the cover fabric?

Yes, the Alure covers are replaceable and can be ordered in any fabric or color available on our website. Custom cover sets typically take 2–4 weeks to produce once your order is placed.

To get started, email us at contact@spaze.com and we'll send you our catalog and quote.

What is the delivery cost and timeline?

Most items ship within 7–14 business days to standard zones (West & East Coast, most major cities), or 10–20 business days outside those zones. Delivery cost starts at $199 for orders under $999 and $99 for orders $999+ in standard zones (assembly add-on: $50); outside standard zones, an estimated fee is charged at checkout and confirmed once we get a quote from our delivery partner.

Once your order ships, our delivery partner will reach out to schedule your appointment. For full details, visit our Shipping Policy.

Do I need to keep the original packaging in case I want to return it?

Yes — please hold onto the original box and packaging until you're sure you'd like to keep the Bamton. Returns without original packaging may be subject to an additional fee, since the box is large and requires proper protective packing for return shipping.
